Always searching for the lost familiar face


Never finding it in its protective place





Light does not help me in my search full of devastating despair


Dark engulfs me bringing my grief to a peak beyond real repair





Found you are now in the ground with every other sad soul


Lost you are forever now leaving me a godly goal

Is this a good enough poem to be published?
Yes it is very touching in many ways, I really do think that you should publish it.

Reply:I don't know. It says "average" to me. And poems aren't supposed to come out directly with an emotion. The emotion comes through by images of actions and environment.





You ought to buy a poetry anthology and read through that, because then you'd have something to compare to.
