How come asians are distant....?

I have these friends well sometimes I don't think there friends I just think they want to talk to me b/c they are afraid of being alone or in a room filled w/ people they don't know. And I'm a familiar face. I wish could understand why they are like that you know it's difficult. They'll talk to each other to there blue but w/ me i barley know anythng unless I walk among them or something it's annoying. Sometimes I just want to walk away and say hey "if you want to talk to me you don't pick me just b/c i'm the only person in the room". I'm not mad at them or anything but i feel unappreciated with all my other friends lets just say this it's the opposite i'm half black and asian they didn't really want to talk to me until I told them that to think about it.

How come asians are distant....?

Reply:I'm multi-racial myself, with a strong emphasis on Asian. I know that I can be either overtly snubbed by other Asians or some don't know how to categorize me. Am I Asian or something else? Plus I loom over a lot of Asians since I'm nearly 6 feet tall.





However, I find that many Asians who have cross-cultural friends have become close friends and are much more welcoming. I don't know if you're in school or graduated, but I definitely find a broader array of friends outside of school, and certainly more mature.





Could be you just need new friends.
