Ok heres what I would have done.....?

We need a result we have injuries its a big game we need solid players that can pass the ball and play with discipline.





Gk: James (Experience and solid season)


LB: Bridge (Competent Defender when told to defend)


CB: Carragher (Solid Marshall secong only to terry in that respect).


CB: Campbell (Not ideal but experienced and committed).


RB: Richards (Gives us a runner and decent defender).





LW: Barry (Good defensive cover for shaky Bridge good crosser)


CM: Hargreaves (Tightens up midfield good at breaking things up on the deck wins the ball).


CM: Gerrard ability to bring the ball forward quicky good passing).


RM: Match winning passer has the ability to cut in and use richards on overlap.





CF: Crouch (Always a problem for defenders scores goals).


CF: Defoe (Pace makes defenders work and drop deep opens up space for gerrard).





4-4-2 Familiar system easy to integrate new faces tactics aggressive pressure in midfield keep the ball. Even balance of through balls and crosses.

EDMUND, THEY'VE TRIED THIS BEFORE AND IT DID NOT WORK. I THINK THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL SETUP NEEDS TO BE OVERHAULED.
